Privacy Policy
Shell Biotech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users and their patients. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, processing, and protection of personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Taiwan.
1. Purpose of Data Collection
Data is collected for purposes including: Marketing, Contract Performance, Customer Management, Medical Data Processing, and System Analytics (Sentry Project).
2. Categories of Data Collected
- User Data: Name, professional medical license information, clinic name, contact number, and email.
- Patient Data (As Data Processor): Patient name, gender, clinical images (STL, DICOM), and clinical descriptions uploaded by the Practitioner.
- Technical Data: IP addresses, browser behavior, and device identifiers.
All data is stored on the Company's on-premise servers located in Taiwan. We implement SSL/TLS encryption for transmission and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Access is strictly restricted to authorized personnel with logged credentials.
3. Third-Party Analytics
This platform utilizes Meta Pixel and Google Analytics for marketing optimization. Data shared with these providers is de-identified and used solely for behavioral analysis. Users may opt-out via browser settings.
4. Data Subject Rights
Pursuant to the PDPA, users may exercise rights of access, correction, deletion, or cessation of processing by contacting our Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Terms of Service
By registering or using our platform, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Professional Practitioner Guarantee
The user must be a licensed medical professional. By uploading patient data, the user warrants that they have obtained valid written consent from the patient for Shell Biotech to process such data for product manufacturing and diagnostic simulation.
2. System Security & API Usage
Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Users shall not attempt to reverse engineer, stress test, or perform unauthorized scraping of our Web APIs. Any violation will result in immediate account termination and legal action for damages.
3. Order Integration with ERP
Orders submitted online are automatically synchronized with our Union MF2000 ERP system. Once an order enters the "In Production" status, it cannot be canceled or refunded due to its customized nature.
4. Medical Tool Disclaimer (WebGL/PixiJS)
Digital simulation tools (e.g., airway or bone modeling) are for reference only. Clinical outcomes may vary from simulations. Final medical diagnosis and treatment decisions remain the sole responsibility of the attending practitioner.
5. Limitation of Liability
Unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company’s total liability for any claim arising out of the service shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific order in dispute.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taiwan New Taipei District Court.
